How Streamlined Fundraising is Making the Dream of Homeownership Come True

Kindful helps nonprofits grow through powerful fundraising automation technology that is easy to use, accessible, and affordable.

Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans needed a system that could keep up with their growing organization – and they needed a system that would free up their time to be with donors rather than spending all of their time in their data.

When their previous system was too cumbersome and labor intensive, they jumped at the opportunity to switch to a system that streamlined their fundraising. And they decided Kindful was the best fit.

Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans had multiple issues with their previous CRM system. The biggest issue being that their current fundraising software was too cumbersome for most of the staff to use. They were wasting too much time trying to manipulate their data – time they could have spent fundraising.

They were looking for a simple, user-friendly, but powerful tool to track all of their contacts, donors, and homeowners. And as the majority of their donations are given online, they needed a tool that was able to process and track online giving.

“Kindful serves as the brain of our operation. You should absolutely choose Kindful. It is easily the most user-friendly and powerful tool our organization has to use.”

– ALISON HUNTER, Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans

Now that Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans is using Kindful, all of their data is in one central hub. They are able to simplify and streamline their fundraising process. They have fewer things falling through the cracks and using Kindful has decreased miscommunication between staff members.

Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans uses a number of integrations that Kindful offers. They use Stripe for processing and tracking all online donations, Eventbrite for fundraising events, and MailChimp for direct media marketing.

While transitioning to a new database always has its learning curve, Kindful provided online webinars, a large knowledge base of information, and friendly customer service. According to Alison, “The transition was smooth and easy.”

“We can pull all the Stripe customers from Kindful, export the list to MailChimp, and email them about an exclusive event available through Eventbrite. All this correspondence and event attendance is automatically recorded in Kindful.”

By switching to Kindful, Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans not only met their goals for the year, but exceeded them.
